These terms apply to work performed by Softyman ("we," "us," "I") for you ("the client"). By hiring us for a job, you agree to these terms.
Before any paid work begins, we provide a written plan describing exactly what the work will do and a flat price for it. The work is defined by that plan. If something is not described in the plan, it is not part of the job.
The written plan and its agreed price form our agreement for that job. Requests for changes or additions after the plan is approved are treated as a new job, with their own plan and price. We will always tell you the price before you decide.
We will deliver what the plan describes, and we will show it working before the job is considered complete. If we cannot deliver what was agreed in the plan, you don't pay for it. In short: built to what we agreed, or we eat it.
Our guarantee covers delivering the work as described in the plan at the time of completion. It does not cover changes you request later, problems caused by outside services or devices we don't control, or things outside the agreed plan. Ongoing upkeep, hosting, or management, where applicable, is handled under a separate recurring agreement that we will describe and price separately.
Payment for a job is due upon completion, once we've shown you the work functioning as agreed. Any recurring hosting or management fees are billed under their own separate agreement.
Some requests may not be technically possible, or may depend on outside services or devices we cannot control. We assess feasibility before quoting, and we will tell you honestly if something can't be done.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You agree to provide accurate information about your needs and the access reasonably required to do the work, and to use what we build lawfully.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when your plan is agreed governs that job.
